Spotlight on David Rosario

David Rosario is a longtime Maryland Auto producer, and he has also been President of the Latino Providers Network for 13 years (since 2017). His primary reason for being attracted to the Latino Providers Network (LPN) was their commitment to supporting Latinos in Baltimore City and County. “LPN provides a valuable platform where organizations can collaborate and share their services for the betterment of our Latino community.”

David has been able to balance his work as an insurance agent with his responsibilities at LPN by approaching this work as a commitment to the community. “It was never about choosing one thing over another,” he says. “Through this network, I was able to showcase my contribution to the Spanish-speaking community, offering a Spanish-speaking insurance office. Navigating insurance is challenging in one’s native language, and it becomes even more difficult without that understanding.”

“The insurance industry is incredibly competitive and can be overwhelming, especially for brand-new drivers or those coming from abroad,” David says. “Partnering with Maryland Auto has given me the powerful tools to guide our Latino customers confidently into the world of insurance. They offer coverage options where traditional companies often can’t, opening doors that were previously closed. I am truly grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to make a real difference in our community.”

He says that over the past 13 years, he has witnessed significant changes in the Latino communities in Baltimore. “Businesses began to open that specifically catered to the Latino community, reflecting a vibrant spirit of entrepreneurship. This was especially evident along the Eastern Avenue corridor in Highlandtown, where the Latino presence and influence flourished.”

David is proud to have taken on the leadership of LPN and continuing the important work it began nearly 40 years ago.  This includes maximizing resources within the Latino community through advocacy, education, and networking.

“Over the years, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with many non-profits to highlight the importance of insurance within the Latino community. For me, educating our community about the value of auto, fire, and life insurance is essential. It has never been about selling policies, it’s about empowering individuals to educate themselves so they can make informed decisions.”

Looking ahead, David plans to focus on family, especially his daughter’s final year of high school and transition to college. His guiding principle remains clear: choose your hard, and invest in uplifting others—the rewards are lasting.
