Summer vacation is here.
For kids all across Maryland, the daily routine of school has been replaced with a steady dose of sandlot baseball & pick-up basketball, running through the sprinkler in the yard or playing at the neighborhood playground, zipping around on bikes and scooters, and making their way to and from the local pool.
Please keep that in mind when you’re behind the wheel this summer. Make sure to pay extra attention while driving in communities, especially around playgrounds and pools, and keep your eyes peeled for any summer vacationers who might be a little too sun-baked to remember to look for cars before crossing the street or chasing after a foul ball.
