Spotlight On Morili Adekola

This month we highlight Morili Adekola of Triumph Insurance Agency.

In 2022, Morili Adekola was working in the Tag and Title business, and she noticed that a lot of customers looking to purchase registrations for their vehicles did not even have auto insurance. “We had to refer them to friends in the car insurance industry, and I started to wonder what we could do to help these people.” Her boss suggested that she could become an insurance agent and that gave her the push she needed to get certified. She started in life insurance, and then expanded into property and casualty insurance. Morili started working as a producer for a State Farm agent, but she knew that her goal was ultimately to have her own agency. She navigated the process of starting her own business and is now the owner of Triumph Insurance Agency in Greenbelt, Maryland.

“My main goal is to help my community and bring them joy,” says Morili. “As an insurance agent you don’t have to just sit in your office. I go out and educate people of all ages on why they need to have a valid driver license and let them know the value of being properly insured.”

She said that Maryland Auto has been a great addition to her agency and has helped her bring a lot of joy into many lives. “There are young drivers who don’t even know where to start and most insurers won’t accommodate them, or other drivers with certain circumstances,” she says. “Having a place like Maryland Auto that will insure them, gives them another chance and gives them the peace of mind that they are covered.”
