The House Counsel Unit of Maryland Auto Insurance is seeking a motivated and organized individual for our Legal Internship program. This is a summer position, 10-12 week, 30-40 hours per week. The House Counsel Unit is identified as the Law Offices of John P. Stabile and Associates.

The Legal Intern will provide support to the House Counsel Staff in its defense of motor tort litigation.

Job Duties Include:

  • Assisting attorneys in all litigation and trial work
  • Locating and interviewing witnesses and clients in preparation of trial
  • Preparing Motions and other pleadings
  • Interacting with claims adjusters
  • Conducting legal research
  • Other duties as necessary

Qualified applicants will have completed their first year of law school, will be effective communicators, and have an ability to maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues.

The House Counsel Unit of Maryland Auto Insurance, a Property & Casualty Insurance carrier and Independent Agency of the State of Maryland is located in the Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, Ste. 2201 in downtown Baltimore. The main office of Maryland Auto is located in the Banner Building of McHenry row, in the Locust Point neighborhood of Baltimore.

Maryland Auto will provide paid parking to the selected intern.
