Maryland Auto Insurance is seeking a motivated and organized individual for our Accounting Internship program. This is a part-time position.  Candidates should be committed to working up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer break.

The Accountant Intern will be provided with relevant skills in a variety of accounting functions via on-the-job training.

Job Duties Include:

  • Reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Roll forward analysis of balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures
  • Exposure to the review and analysis of monthly financial statements
  • Completing special projects as needed and other duties assigned

Qualified applicants will possess strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MA Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is necessary as well as ability to maintain a high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality. Candidates majoring in Accounting or Business Management are highly encouraged to apply.
